About the Role

We’re seeking an energetic and forward-thinking academic to join our expanding Computer and Data Science team within the School of Science, Technology & Health.

You’ll play a key role in the development and delivery of our Data Science Degree Apprenticeship, working closely with learners and industry partners. Your expertise should align with one or more of the following areas:

  • Machine Learning
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Big Data Analytics
  • Cloud Computing

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and bring a growing portfolio of academic research, ideally supported by peer-reviewed publications. While prior experience in industry is not essential, it will be considered an asset, particularly for those keen to bridge academic theory with real-world application.

What We’re Looking For

  • A doctorate in data science, computer science, or a closely related field
  • A strong interest in teaching and curriculum development, especially at degree apprenticeship level
  • Evidence of ongoing or emerging research activity
  • A collaborative, student-focused approach to academic life
  • Any relevant industry experience will be advantageous
