Whether you’re an experienced higher education careers adviser, a recruitment/HR professional, or a manager with a background in developing early-career talent, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on students’ futures.

About the Role

As a Careers Consultant, you’ll be instrumental in enhancing students’ employability, working in partnership with academic departments and delivering strategic consultancy. You’ll also lead on a specialist project, such as supporting international students or advancing diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert careers advice informed by labour market trends.
  • Deliver 1:1 coaching and tailored career learning sessions to students.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to embed employability in the curriculum.
  • Lead and deliver a specialist project within the consultancy team.
  • Use technology to support learning and track graduate outcomes.
  • Stay informed of industry developments and recruitment practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree or equivalent experience.
  • A relevant professional qualification (or working towards one) in careers guidance, coaching, HR, or a related field.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to deliver workshops and presentations.
  • Good knowledge of UK graduate employment trends and the wider labour market.
