CPI is looking for a Process Engineer to join its growing team at the cutting-edge Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC). The MMIC, based in Renfrewshire, is a cooperation between CPI, the University of Strathclyde, UK Research & Innovation, Scottish Enterprise, and initial business partners AstraZeneca and GSK.

As a Process Engineer, you’ll work in a modern, newly constructed plant. You will work on intriguing, cutting-edge initiatives that will shape how medicines are created. As part of a team, you will conduct experimental programmes on process equipment to provide insights and assist improvement efforts. You will ensure SHE and GMP/Quality protocols are followed. - Participate in hazard studies/SRA talks based on role level.
- Set up, design, and execute experimental / pilot scale runs, as well as participate to the analysis, interpretation, and reporting of the results within agreed-upon timelines and quality standards, and in compliance with project / client requirements.
- To ensure MMIC equipment runs well and meets agreed-upon requirements. This includes both coordination and hands-on work related to the preparation of materials needed for continuous processing, operation, and daily maintenance of process equipment.
The individual we’re looking for
The ideal applicant for the post of Process Engineer should have a strong technical background, including understanding of pharmaceutical and chemical processing, and have problem-solving skills. You will have an HNC or Foundation Degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering area, as well as relevant industrial experience.
Experience working in GMP environments, cleanrooms, or with solid pharmaceutical dosage forms is preferred.
