About the role
The University seeks to hire an outstanding trained accountant to join its Financial Accounting team. Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, Treasury, and Tax, you will play an important role in ensuring the University’s financial compliance across a variety of tasks such as treasury, taxation, and auditing. You will be able to effectively assess risk and opportunities while also providing financial information, guidance, and counsel to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in higher education is very desirable.
The position will necessitate a proactive attitude to work as well as demonstrable interpersonal skills in order for the incumbent to establish strong and successful working connections with external stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, including senior managers.

This role is eligible for sponsorship by the University; however, your individual circumstances must meet the UKVI criteria, which include meeting the English Language requirement and earning the highest of either the going rate for the SOC code or the minimum salary threshold for the Skilled Worker route (£38,700 per year).
If the role is eligible but the offered wage is less than the market rate for the role, you may still be able to apply for a Skilled Worker visa.

You must be under 26 years old, a recent graduate, or in professional training. Additionally, a PhD level certification relevant to your career is required.
You hold a postdoctoral position in science or higher education.
