The Opportunity

We are seeking a Lecturer (Teaching) to contribute to two specialist MSc programmes:

  • MSc Smart Energy and the Built Environment (SEBE)
  • MSc Energy Systems and Data Analysis (ESDA)
  • This is primarily a teaching-focused academic role with leadership responsibilities and significant student engagement.

What You Will Be Doing

Teaching & Module Leadership

You will:

  • Lead the Data Analytics in the Smart Built Environment module (SEBE).
  • Teach on the Energy Data Analytics in the Built Environment module (ESDA).
  • Contribute to other MSc and BSc modules within Sustainable Built Environments, Energy and Resources (SBEER).
  • Manage module delivery including Moodle preparation, lecture design, coursework setting, marking, and student support.
  • Supervise postgraduate dissertations.
  • Your overall teaching commitment will be equivalent to three modules.

Programme Leadership (SEBE)

You will serve as Course Director (Programme Lead) for SEBE, with responsibility for:

  • Programme coordination and administration
  • Student recruitment and marketing activities
  • Oversight of exam board documentation
  • Programme development and review
  • Induction week organisation
  • Pastoral care and student experience leadership
  • This is an excellent opportunity to gain formal academic leadership experience within a globally respected institution.

Who We Are Looking For

You will bring:

A PhD in a quantitative discipline related to energy demand, buildings, data science, or a closely aligned field (or equivalent professional experience).
