About the Faculty
The Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences at University College London (UCL) brings together disciplines where humanities and social sciences intersect. It includes eight academic departments:
- Anthropology
- Archaeology
- Economics
- Geography
- History
- History of Art
- Institute of the Americas
- Political Science
Alongside these is the Institute of Advanced Studies, promoting interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
With over 6,000 students and 1,000 staff members, the Faculty is actively shaping its next decade of research and education. Current priorities include addressing global challenges such as climate change, technological transformation, and social inequality.
The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
This position sits within the Faculty’s Education and Student Experience team and plays a vital part in maintaining academic integrity and operational efficiency.
You will:
- Deliver and support assessment and progression processes across departments
- Ensure student records accurately reflect academic performance
- Help maintain high academic standards and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with departmental and central university teams
- Promote consistency, transparency, and best practice across the Faculty
- This is a role for someone who enjoys precision, coordination, and contributing to a smooth student journey from enrolment to graduation.
The team also works in alignment with national higher education regulatory standards, including guidance from:
- The UK Government’s Higher Education guidance
- The Office for Students regulatory framework
- UK Quality Code for Higher Education
- Data protection compliance under UK GDPR
- Equality legislation guidance under the Equality Act 2010
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who is:
- Educated to A-level standard (or equivalent professional experience)
- Experienced in producing clear, professional written communications
- Confident using student information systems
- Technically capable with strong IT proficiency
- Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
- This role offer visa sponsorship, so applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.

- Hybrid working arrangement
- Full-time permanent contract
