About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership position within a dynamic and fast-paced CAMHS Crisis Team. As Team Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring children and young people receive timely, safe, and effective mental health support—whenever they need it.
You will lead a 24/7 service, balancing operational management with compassionate, recovery-focused care. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to shaping and improving services, helping the team evolve to meet the needs of the community.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership to the CAMHS Crisis Team
Ensure round-the-clock staffing and service delivery
Support high-quality care for children and young people with mental health needs and learning disabilities
Work closely with senior clinicians to maintain clinical safety and governance
Lead service improvement and quality initiatives
Line manage and support staff, including supervision and development
Promote a positive, inclusive culture for both service users and staff
Strengthen collaboration with external agencies, families, and carers

What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Registered healthcare or social care professional
Master’s level qualification (or equivalent experience at Band 6+)
Training in clinical supervision
Recognised Practice Assessor/Supervisor
Experience
- Strong experience in team leadership and people management
Working with complex mental health needs and risk behaviours
Delivering clinical supervision and mentoring
Knowledge of:
- Mental Health legislation
Safeguarding frameworks
Risk assessment and management
Experience in quality improvement or service development
Proven ability to work collaboratively across services
