We’re looking for a commercially aware and detail-focused finance professional to support a high-profile programme. This role is central to ensuring financial transparency, accuracy, and control across the full project lifecycle.
You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership to track costs, manage budgets, and provide insights that drive better business decisions. Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Control
- Develop and manage programme budgets, including forecasting and variance analysis
Monitor project performance and ensure financial targets are met
Conduct monthly cost reviews, tracking spend and identifying trends
Support pricing, cost estimation, and financial input for project bids
Project Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies and accounting standards
Produce detailed financial reports, dashboards, and variance analysis
Track costs across labour, materials, subcontracting, and work orders
Ensure transparency and traceability of all project-related expenditure
Business Partnering
- Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams
Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions
Communicate project financial status clearly to stakeholders and senior leaders
Systems & Process Improvement
- Use ERP systems to extract and analyse financial data
Improve financial models and reporting tools
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting timelines
Support implementation of lean and efficiency initiatives
Risk & Compliance
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry regulations
Work with internal and external auditors to maintain strong financial controls
Support governance and audit readiness across the programme
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong understanding of financial principles and project accounting
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience working with ERP systems and financial software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience in manufacturing or product delivery environments
Familiarity with cost modelling and forecasting techniques
Proven ability to manage complex financial data sets
