 Role Overview
The Director of Education and Student Experience will lead the Faculty’s strategy for high‑quality education and exceptional student support. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive excellence in academic governance, programme design, student services, and overall student experience across eight institutes.
You will collaborate closely with academic leaders, professional services teams, and student representatives to ensure cohesive delivery of UCL’s educational mission, and to support the success and wellbeing of students at every stage of their journey.
This role is suitable for international applicants and meets the eligibility criteria for UK immigration sponsorship, including the Skilled Worker visa and Global Talent visa routes.

You are a seasoned leader with:
- Extensive experience in higher education leadership, particularly in student support, academic strategy, and quality assurance
- A deep understanding of how UK and international higher education systems operate
- Proven ability to influence and build strong partnerships with senior academic and professional colleagues
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
- Insight into regulatory frameworks that govern student experience, academic standards, and governance
- You are likely to be educated to degree level and actively engaged in your own professional development.

 Key Responsibilities
As Director of Education and Student Experience, you will:
- Shape and implement educational strategy and policy across the Faculty
- Champion improvements in teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum design
- Lead activities that enhance student satisfaction, engagement, retention, and outcomes
- Oversee academic governance and compliance with regulatory standards
- Act as a senior advocate for student wellbeing, support services, and inclusive practices
- Drive continuous improvement through data‑informed decision making
