Job Description
About the Team
The Behavioural Science and Early Diagnosis of Cancer Group at UCL investigates how patients engage with cancer screening and early detection pathways, focusing on colorectal and cervical cancer. Our work covers decision-making, communication strategies, patient experiences, and understanding knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs about cancer.
Our projects are funded by leading institutions such as the NIHR, Cancer Research UK, and the International Cancer Alliance for Early Detection of Cancer (ACED). We integrate behavioural science, public engagement, and quantitative analysis to design interventions that reduce cancer inequalities.

- Collaborate with patients, public advisory panels, and healthcare professionals through co-design workshops and simulations
- Implement inclusive recruitment strategies using online platforms and mobile research units

- Coordinate public engagement activities to ensure research outcomes benefit communities most affected
This is a fixed-term contract funded until 31 December 2027, with the possibility of starting at Grade 6B if your PhD is in progress, and backdated to Grade 7 upon successful completion. Salaries include the London Allowance.
