We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step into leadership. As Head Vet, you’ll combine hands-on clinical work with team leadership, helping to create a positive, high-performing environment where both people and patients thrive.
With no out-of-hours, no Sundays, and flexible scheduling, this role is designed to give you the balance you deserve while still progressing your career.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and inspire a dedicated veterinary team
Deliver high-quality clinical care across medical and surgical cases
Support and mentor colleagues at different stages of their careers
Contribute to clinical standards, protocols, and practice development
Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager on strategic decisions
Maintain a positive and inclusive team culture
You’ll have the autonomy to lead confidently while being supported by a wider national network.
Your Team
You’ll be joining a welcoming and collaborative group that includes:
- 1 Veterinary Surgeon (working toward an advanced surgery certificate)
3 Registered Veterinary Nurses
1 Student Veterinary Nurse
1 Veterinary Care Assistant
2 Client Care Advisors
1 Practice Manager

- Up to £85,000 (depending on experience)
