Wind Farm Technician – UK

Job Overview
Our wind farms are located throughout central Scotland, from Newton Stewart to Cowdenbeath, with the main hubs positioned between the East and West. Most of the wind farms are within an hour’s commute from either hub.
Responsibilities
- Previous experience in wind turbine maintenance is required, with the potential to lead a team as needed.
- Independently perform fault analysis and repair of wind turbine generator systems, and address any client inquiries.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
- Accurately document call-out responses, fault finding, and repairs in service reports, logbooks, and checklists.
- Coordinate with external and internal service providers and contractors on-site.
- Serve as the primary contact for client technical inquiries related to retrofits and repairs.
- Be available for on-call duties outside of regular working hours, including weekends.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Professional training in electrical engineering (e.g., electrician, power electronics systems, mechatronic engineer), or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Proficient with MS Office and familiar with PLCs.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities, with a keen eye for identifying and resolving issues.
- Ability to work well in a team, with a cooperative attitude and an interest in professional development.
- Confident, capable of working at heights, and maintaining a structured, analytical approach.
- High flexibility, motivation, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Prepared to travel throughout Scotland as needed.
