About the Practice
Cwm Calon Surgery, now expanded to include Aberbeeg Medical Practice, serves a friendly community of approximately 5,500 patients in the ex-mining Valleys. We are a medium-sized training practice with a young, dynamic team of Partners and a strong focus on patient-centred care.

Role Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed GPs to join our team, offering:
- Formal mentoring for salaried GPs
- Regular in-house CPD and Clinical Governance meetings
- Opportunities to develop special clinical interests and take on teaching roles
- Active participation in local cluster initiatives and shaping healthcare delivery
- As a GP at Cwm Calon, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while benefiting from a modern working environment and strong administrative support.

- 3 GP Partners & 2 Salaried GPs
- Practice Nurses and HCA-led Chronic Disease Management Clinics
GPSTs & Medical Students
- Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber)
- Dedicated Prescribing Team
- GP Support Officers
- Named Mentor for all Salaried GPs
- GP Partner as Chair of the Local NCN

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- MBChB or equivalent medical degree
- Full MRCGP / CCT
- GMC registration
Desirable:
- UK professional registration
- Prior experience working in UK primary care
Compliance Requirements:
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (gov.uk DBS)
- Criminal record certificate for any country of residence of 12+ months over the past 10 years for skilled worker visa applicants (gov.uk CRB overseas)
- Certificate of Sponsorship available for Skilled Worker visa applicants (gov.uk Skilled Worker Visa)
- Registration and compliance requirements for overseas doctors (nhs.uk International Doctors)
