About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Professor (Teaching) to play a key leadership role in the delivery and enhancement of the MSc Management degree — one of UCL’s largest postgraduate programmes, attracting up to 500 students annually.

This MSc is designed as a conversion programme for graduates from varied academic backgrounds seeking to transition into management careers across industries.

You will have the opportunity to shape the programme’s future direction, ensuring its continued relevance in an era of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing academic leadership for the MSc Management programme.
  • Designing, delivering, and assessing innovative, research-informed management education.
  • Contributing to curriculum development and programme strategy.
  • Supporting teaching excellence and student engagement across the School.
  • Fostering collaboration with colleagues and industry partners.

Note:

  • This position is on the Teaching (Education) track, not a research-focused role.
  • Applications should include a 1-page cover letter and a short CV relevant to the role (no attachments such as publications or certificates).
  • The post is available from 1 May 2026 or by negotiation.

About You

You will hold a PhD (or equivalent doctorate) in a discipline related to business or management, and demonstrate:

  • A strong record of teaching excellence at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Experience leading academic programmes or teams, driving curriculum innovation and quality.
  • The ability to connect theory with real-world business practice.
  • Skill in engaging and inspiring diverse student cohorts.
  • A clear commitment to educational leadership and continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing large-scale programmes or contributing to the strategic development of business education will be a strong advantage.

Visa Sponsorship

This position meets the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker Visa or Global Talent Visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation.
UCL welcomes applications from international candidates who require visa sponsorship.

  • 41 days of annual leave (27 days leave + 8 bank holidays + 6 closure days).
  • Pension scheme (Career Average Revalued Earnings).
  • Cycle to Work scheme and season ticket loans.
  • Immigration and relocation support (for eligible posts).
  • Enhanced parental leave and adoption pay.
