Laker Vent Engineering Ltd is a leading mechanical contracting company operating within the engineering construction sector. We specialise in the installation of high-specification process piping systems for blue-chip clients across the Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, and Petrochemical industries.
As part of our continued growth, we are supporting a major client project in the Bristol / Bridgwater area and are seeking experienced HR and Administration professionals to join our team.
The Opportunity
This position offers an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the mobilisation of an international workforce into the UK under the Skilled Worker Visa route. The successful candidate will also provide wider HR and administrative support to ensure full compliance and smooth workforce integration.
You will contribute to Laker Vent’s ongoing success by supporting strategic workforce initiatives and client partnerships across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Visa Administration
- Manage and coordinate Skilled Worker visa applications.
- Ensure full compliance with Home Office and UKVI sponsorship requirements.
Recruitment & Workforce Support
- Assist with the recruitment and mobilisation of skilled workers.
- Coordinate with resource and project teams to manage subcontractors, temporary staff, and rotating personnel.
Onboarding & Induction
- Support new starter onboarding, including documentation, certification tracking, and induction scheduling.
Training & Compliance
- Work with HR and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) teams to maintain training records and ensure workforce competency compliance.
- General HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure all data handling complies with company policies and UK data protection laws.
Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience in HR, visa administration, or workforce mobilisation, ideally within the engineering or construction industry.
- Strong working knowledge of Skilled Worker visa processes and UKVI compliance.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
