About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior BMS Optimisation Engineer to join our BeMS Optimisation Division at Optimised.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering Optimisation, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), and Reactive Service Works for a wide range of clients across multiple sectors. Your focus will be on driving energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and operational performance through intelligent BMS solutions.
You’ll collaborate closely with clients on-site and with our in-house support teams to identify opportunities for optimisation, implement solutions, and ensure high-quality service delivery that aligns with our mission to accelerate the transition to net zero.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver BMS optimisation, PPM, and reactive maintenance activities across client sites.
- Complete energy optimisation surveys on systems such as Trend, Tridium, Cylon, and Siemens, identifying opportunities to improve building performance and efficiency.
- Produce clear and concise optimisation reports detailing recommended control strategy improvements.
- Investigate and troubleshoot energy exceptions identified by our Remote Optimisation Centre (ROC) to confirm root causes of inefficiencies.
- Implement software modifications and control strategy changes to enhance building energy performance.
- Conduct maintenance activities on BMS components including control panels, controllers, sensors, valves, actuators, and supervisory software.
- Identify and scope opportunities for additional works during site visits, working with support teams to issue timely proposals.
- Complete detailed service and visit reports on the same day as site attendance.
- Respond to reactive call-outs to diagnose and resolve BMS or HVAC control issues.
- Deliver small works projects, including repairs, upgrades, and installations.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety at all times, reviewing and adhering to RAMS and workplace risk assessments.
- Engage confidently with clients and stakeholders, providing technical advice in a clear and accessible manner.
- Support continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.
About You
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in BMS commissioning, maintenance, or optimisation.
- Qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC/ONC or equivalent).
- CSCS Gold Card or ECS card (essential).
- Proven expertise with Cylon, Trend, and/or Tridium systems.
- Strong understanding of service delivery, fault finding, and small project management.
- Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.

- Competitive salary: from £50,000 DOE.
