Job Description
About Us
UCL is internationally recognised as one of the world’s leading universities, located in central London and known for innovation, research excellence and a vibrant academic community.
The Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health (PCPH) is a multidisciplinary hub focused on improving population and patient outcomes through high-quality primary care research. Our work spans the full trajectory of intervention development—from understanding patient needs to designing, evaluating and embedding evidence-based solutions in practice.
PCPH is part of the UCL Institute of Epidemiology & Healthcare (IEHC), and a member of the NIHR School for Primary Care Research, with close links to NIHR Schools of Public Health and Social Care. We offer extensive opportunities for collaboration, access to rich national and local datasets, and a strong track record of supporting academic primary care careers. The department’s Primary Care Education Group is globally recognised for its leadership in clinical education scholarship.
The Role
This NIHR-funded lectureship offers an exceptional four-year postdoctoral training opportunity for a fully qualified general practitioner with the ambition and capability to become an independent leader in clinical education research within primary care.
The postholder will develop a coherent and innovative programme of research exploring clinical education, pedagogy or workforce development, with direct relevance to primary healthcare practice. Alongside building your academic portfolio, you will contribute to teaching activities and broader departmental initiatives.
