About the Programme
Deloitte’s Internal Audit & Change team supports organisations in assessing their risks, strengthening governance frameworks, and evaluating whether internal controls operate as intended. The team collaborates closely with leaders across financial services, corporate industries, and the public sector to design, implement and improve core business processes.
Through this placement, you’ll gain first-hand exposure to how major organisations operate behind the scenes, how risk is managed, and how internal audit supports strategic decision-making.
What You’ll Need
To apply, you must be:
- In the penultimate year of your degree (or progressing into a master’s).
- On track to achieve a 2:1 or above in any discipline.
- Expected to graduate by September 2027.
What You Will Work On
During the placement, you will support a variety of audit and change assignments. Your tasks may include:
- Testing whether processes, functions or controls are designed and operating effectively.
- Contributing to end-to-end audits, helping to understand how an organisation generates revenue, serves customers, and structures its operations.
- Mapping future control environments and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Providing risk-reduction recommendations to clients.
- Helping organisations build or enhance internal audit and assurance capabilities.
- Participating in problem-solving workshops with client stakeholders.
- Potentially working within specialist teams focusing on Technology & Cyber, Data Analytics, AI assurance, and Transformation governance.
Working Model
The programme operates under Deloitte’s hybrid working approach, combining in-office collaboration with home working.
Client-facing roles may occasionally require travel to client premises. Final assessments and induction activities will take place in person to support networking and learning.

Students who complete the six-week scheme successfully may be offered a pre-secured place on the 2027 Deloitte Graduate Programme in the same location and service line.
