About the Role
Medivet Stevenage is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of two years’ clinical experience to join our friendly and highly supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for vets looking to enhance or continue developing their all-round GP skills in a well-established practice with a loyal and appreciative client base.
You will work alongside our Lead Vet, who brings over 20 years of experience, supported by a team of four vets, 2–3 of whom are on duty daily, as well as a skilled team of Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) and a dedicated reception staff.
Our practice is fully equipped to handle a wide variety of consults and routine surgeries. With RVC providing our out-of-hours support, you can enjoy excellent continuity of patient care and a sustainable work-life balance. Additionally, a practice refurbishment planned for late 2025 will further enhance our facilities.
Working Pattern
- 4 days per week (9:00am–7:00pm) at the Stevenage branch
Weekend coverage options:
- 1 in 6 full weekends at Enfield Hospital, or
- 1 in 3 Saturdays supporting nearby branches depending on business needs
Key Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Surgeon at Medivet Stevenage, you will:
- Provide exceptional patient care in consultations and surgery, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory, operational, and practice compliance
- Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients
- Work closely with your colleagues in a supportive, multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to Medivet Clinical Communities, sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues
- Participate in audit and continuous improvement programs
About You

- A qualified MRCVS Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
- Passionate about providing high-quality clinical care and client service
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively and supporting colleagues
