Medivet is currently seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join the friendly team at its Maidenbower practice in West Sussex.

The clinical team currently includes:
- An experienced veterinary surgeon providing surgical support
- Four reception team members
- Two full-time veterinary nurses
- Four part-time veterinary nurses

Key Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Surgeon in this role, you will contribute to both clinical care and client engagement.
Your responsibilities will typically include:
Clinical Care
- Conduct consultations and perfrm surgical procedures in line with best practice standards
- Diagnose medical conditions and provide appropriate treatment plans
- Maintain high standards of patient welfoare and safety
Client Communication
- Discuss treatment options and care plans with pet owners
- Provide clear guidance and ongoing support to clients
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with veterinary nurses and support staff
- Share knowledge and contribute to clinical discussions within the team
Professional Contribution
- Support the development of clinical standards within the practice
- Participate in continuing professional development and learning opportunities
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a motivated veterinary professional who values teamwork and patient care.
You should have:
- A recognised veterinary degree and MRCVS registration
- At least two years of clinical experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively with both clients and colleagues
- A genuine passion for animal welfare
- Experience or interest in orthopaedic procedures or TPLO surgery would be advantageous but is not essential.
