The Clinical Environment
This is a well-equipped, referral-level hospital designed to support complex medical and surgical caseloads. Facilities include:
- Digital and dental radiography
- Multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring
- Endoscopy and bronchoscopy
- In-house laboratory
- CT imaging
- Two fully equipped operating theatres
- Separate cat and dog waiting areas and wards
- Dedicated isolation facilities
As one of Medivet’s 24-hour centres, Faygate plays a vital role within the wider group, receiving advanced cases and supporting surrounding practices.
The Role
We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery, ideally with an orthopaedic bias, to join a recently restructured yet highly experienced hospital team. You’ll be part of a culture that prioritises clinical excellence, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on varied and challenging cases, contribute to hospital development, and influence how high-quality patient care is delivered around the clock.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Provide exceptional clinical care during consultations and surgical procedures
- Manage cases to the highest standards of clinical governance and regulatory compliance
- Develop clear, tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients
- Collaborate closely with vets, nurses, and support teams across the hospital
- Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and contribute to Medivet’s wider clinical community
- All professional duties align with RCVS standards and UK veterinary regulation
About You
You’ll be:
- A qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon
- Experienced in UK practice (ideally 3+ years)
- Confident working in a hospital or referral environment
- Passionate about surgery, with an interest in orthopaedics
- A team-focused clinician who values learning and collaboration
- Committed to high standards of patient care and client communication
