Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Consultant Engineer to join our Leeds team. This is a highly technical position with the opportunity to lead projects and eventually manage a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design foundations and geotechnical structures for various projects
- Provide expert guidance on complex geotechnical issues
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams locally and internationally
- Deliver high-quality technical solutions across transport, renewable energy, and urban development projects
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
Preferred Technical Expertise:
- Pile design in chalk and glacial till
- Offshore projects (windfarms, ports)
- Railway infrastructure, depots, and station design
- Embankments and cuttings
- Ground improvement and treatment
Candidate Profile
- Chartered Civil Engineer (or working toward chartership) UK Engineering Council Registration
- 5–10 years’ relevant industry experience
- Able to work independently with ambition to lead a team
- Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
