The opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Coaching and Organisational Behaviour who brings intellectual leadership, a strong international research reputation, and a genuine enthusiasm for progressive, learner-centred teaching.
You will play a key role in shaping postgraduate, MBA, and executive education programmes, working with experienced professionals and senior leaders from diverse sectors. You will also contribute to the School’s research culture through high-quality publications, external engagement, and collaboration with colleagues across disciplines.
This position offers both academic autonomy and the opportunity to work within a highly collegial team that values innovation, collaboration, and impact.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality teaching in Coaching and Organisational Behaviour across postgraduate, MBA, and executive education programmes
- Use facilitative, reflective, and collaborative teaching approaches suited to experienced and senior learners
- Maintain and further develop an internationally recognised research profile
- Publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals and contribute to research impact
- Engage with professional, organisational, and academic communities
- Support curriculum development and contribute to the strategic goals of the department
- Work collaboratively while also thriving in a role with significant academic independence
About you
You will be an accomplished academic with a strong track record in both research and teaching. You will bring credibility in the field of Coaching and Organisational Behaviour, alongside the interpersonal skills needed to engage and challenge highly experienced learners.
You will typically demonstrate:
- Experience teaching at postgraduate level (MBA or MSc); executive education experience is desirable
- A facilitative and learner-centred teaching style
- A sustained record of high-quality research outputs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
- The capacity to work independently while contributing actively to a collaborative academic community
Visa and eligibility
Depending on the applicable Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code, this role may be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. Applicants seeking sponsorship must meet the points-based requirements set out by UK Visas and Immigration.
