Main Duties, Tasks & Skills Required
- Provide and maintain a high standard of evidence-based, patient-centred care.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and develop practical skills within the specialty while reflecting the philosophy of care.
- Deliver patient care daily, using systems in place for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care, which involves patients and their families/carers.
- Experienced Band 5 post holders will also provide clinical and managerial leadership in the absence of senior team members, empowering staff to deliver evidence-based nursing care.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Registered Nurse part 1, 7, or 10 of the NMC register.
- Degree or working towards a degree.
- Teaching/Mentorship Qualification.
Desirable:
- Foundation in neonatology.
- Qualification in specialty.
Experience
Essential:
- Post-registration experience in neonates.
- Teaching ability and experience.
Additional Criteria
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Analytical and judgement skills.
- Planning and organisational skills.
