The University of Liverpool is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Trials Manager to join the Liverpool Clinical Trials Centre (LCTC). This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of a diverse clinical trials portfolio, contributing to high-quality research that makes a real-world impact.

About the Role

As Senior Trials Manager, you will:

  • Provide leadership in the development and management of clinical trials
  • Oversee trial design, monitoring, and quality assurance processes
  • Ensure all activities are fully compliant with relevant governance and regulatory frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with LCTC workstreams including trial management, statistics, data management, and information systems
  • Support the continuous improvement of standards, procedures, and portfolio growth

This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work across teams to ensure excellence in delivery and trial compliance.

About You

You will bring:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant professional experience in managing project budgets within a clinical trials environment
  • Strong knowledge of clinical trial governance, regulations, and quality standards
  • Experience developing and monitoring trial-related procedures and documentation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A high level of self-organisation and ability to manage others effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail

Contract Details

  • This post is available on a 12-month fixed-term basis in the first instance.
