Assistant Education Manager
Location: Brighton, UK
Contract Type: Fixed Term (Until 22nd March 2027)
Working Hours: Full-time (up to 36.5 hours per week). Flexible working requests considered based on business needs.
Salary: Grade 6, starting at £34,132 to £38,249 per annum (pro rata for part-time roles)
The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and inspirational Assistant Education Manager to lead our Education Support team within the University of Sussex Business School. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for the smooth operation and delivery of both standard and bespoke courses across the School’s extensive programme portfolio.
This includes line management of a team of Senior Coordinators and Coordinators, working closely with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in education services, supporting academic planning, and contributing to strategic goals. You’ll also manage day-to-day operations and lead on a variety of strategic projects that align with the School’s objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading, motivating, and developing the Education Support team
- Overseeing delivery of education support for all programmes within the Business School
- Collaborating across departments with academic, professional, and external partners
- Supporting curriculum development and operational planning
- Driving improvements in service delivery and process efficiency
- Ensuring excellence in operational execution and student experience
- Promoting ethical conduct and high standards across all aspects of the role
