Help Someone Reclaim Their Independence – One Step at a Time

Terry used to make the tea every day—until a hospital stay made everyday tasks feel out of reach. That’s where we come in.

The Joint Community Rehabilitation (JCR) service is all about helping people regain control of their lives after illness or injury. Whether it’s making a cup of tea, adjusting to a new routine, or simply building the confidence to live independently again, we support people to achieve what matters most to them.

We’re looking for compassionate, proactive individuals to join our team and support adults in their recovery journey at home.

What You’ll Do

As a JCR Support Worker, you’ll work directly with people in the community to:

Provide personal care and emotional support

Assist with daily activities and therapy exercises

Encourage independence and confidence

Work closely with therapists and healthcare professionals

This role involves travelling across the local area, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants who:

Are caring, empathetic and person-centred

Can adapt to meet individual needs

Work well as part of a team

Hold a driving licence and have access to a car

Your Contract Options

We offer flexible, permanent contracts from 6 to 30 hours per week, including:

Weekend-only contracts (6–24 hours)

Evening-only contracts (6–24 hours)

Apprenticeships (6–30 hours), with vocational training from entry to degree level

Shifts take place between 7am and 10pm, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Please note: We are unable to offer sponsorship for these roles.

What We Offer in Return

Full induction and comprehensive training

Supportive team environment and strong management

Opportunities for career development

Generous pension and annual leave

Access to apprenticeship programmes and ongoing learning

Eligibility for our Refer a Friend scheme
