Position: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Nurse
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As part of our skilled nursing team, you will provide high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centred care in the specialities of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. You will work across various areas of the department, including clinics, minor oral surgery, theatres, and recovery, caring for patients undergoing both general anaesthesia (GA) and local anaesthesia (LA) procedures. This includes airway management and leading a safe nurse-led discharge.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supervising both qualified and unqualified staff within the team.
Promoting a welcoming, safe, and caring environment for patients.
Communicating effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.
Taking charge of the department in the absence of senior nursing staff, as directed by the Department Sister or Clinical Matron.
