An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Nurse for Children and Young People in Care across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The Children in Care Health Team is seeking a passionate, innovative, and highly motivated individual to play a key role in delivering and continuously developing a service that ensures high-quality specialist health care for Children and Young People (CYP) in Care.
This diverse role involves working closely with CYP, their carers, health professionals, and multi-agency teams. You will also collaborate between health services, local authorities, and partner agencies to drive forward both national and local corporate parenting agendas, focusing on improving the health of children in care.
Are you an experienced community practitioner, such as a Health Visitor or School Nurse (with a specialist practitioner qualification), with significant experience working with Children and Young People in the community at Band 6 or above? Do you have a background in designing and delivering training, as well as supervising colleagues?
Are you eager to advance your career? Are you passionate about improving services for children and young people in care? Do you possess excellent communication skills, are approachable, reliable, and well-organized? Are you prepared to provide flexible support to young people, their carers, and families?

As part of the Corporate Parenting Partnership, you will manage a caseload of children in care, identifying unmet health needs and working with the team to address them.
