Job Description
Interview Date: 03 April 2025
About the Job
Ready to inspire the next generation of social workers? An exciting opportunity has popped up to join our Social Work team at the University of Northampton (UON). We’re on the hunt for a passionate Practice Educator with solid experience in children’s services. You’ll dive into all corners of our Social Work course—teaching, assessing, guiding placements, and running tutorials—both in-person and online. Expect some Saturday work, occasional twilight sessions, marketing events, and a chance to shape research and enterprise projects.
We’re big on Smarter Working here—flexibility to fit your life, UON’s goals, and our students’ needs. Whether that’s tweaking hours or balancing tasks, we’ll work with you to make it happen. Note: This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before confirmation.
Who You Are
You’re a seasoned pro in children’s, young people’s, and family social work, with a knack for teaching—whether in practice or academic settings. You’re all about growth, with top-notch communication skills and a talent for juggling deadlines and change. You’ll whip up teaching and assessment materials with ease (IT included), champion inter-professional learning, and bring a sharp understanding of equality and diversity. Bonus: you’re okay with travel for placement visits!
