Make a lasting impact on children’s lives in Cumberland

At Cumberland Council, children and young people are central to our mission in Children and Family Wellbeing services. We’re looking for dedicated and experienced Level 3 Social Workers to join our Support and Protect teams. In this vital role, you’ll carry out high-quality assessments, lead on child in need and child protection processes, develop robust plans, and handle court-related work. Your efforts will directly help safeguard children, support families, and empower them to build stronger futures across our communities.

We value Social Workers who prioritise meaningful relationships with children and families. You’ll engage in creative direct work to truly hear and reflect children’s voices and experiences, while coordinating multi-agency input and motivating families to achieve positive change.

These are permanent positions, with flexibility for part-time working where it suits your circumstances.
