As we continue to build a distinctive and ambitious department, we are seeking an internationally recognised Professor of Marketing with an outstanding research profile, strong leadership in teaching, and a commitment to collaboration and innovation. What You’ll Be Doing
You will contribute to the full range of academic activity within the department, including research, teaching, leadership, and administration. Your role will include:
Teaching:
- Delivering lectures and seminars across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education programmes
- Supervising projects, dissertations, and student field visits
- Leading modules and providing academic support and personal tutoring
- Designing curriculum content and engaging in assessment and feedback
Research:
- Conducting world-class research with regular publication in leading academic journals
- Demonstrating a track record of high-quality outputs rated 3* or 4* (REF standards)
- Leading and contributing to externally funded research projects
- Supervising PhD and other research students
- Contributing to centres such as the Henley Centre for Customer Management or the new Consumer Futures Lab
Leadership & Citizenship:
- Providing leadership in teaching and research initiatives
- Participating in departmental and school-wide meetings and strategic planning
- Supporting new initiatives that reflect the school’s values of excellence and impact
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a dynamic academic leader with:
- A PhD (or equivalent) in Marketing or a related field
- A proven track record of high-quality research with international impact
- Multiple publications in internationally recognised journals and a clear pipeline of future work
- Significant experience in teaching at UG, PG, and/or executive levels
- A deep understanding of contemporary marketing theory and practice
- A collaborative and proactive approach to academic citizenship and leadership
