About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Business Development Manager with over 5 years of experience in technical sales and a strong track record in government contracting. This is a key position that will help us grow our presence across Local and Central Government sectors, drive digital transformation strategies, and support end-to-end bid and tender processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and execute business development strategies to increase engagement across the UK public sector.
- Build strong relationships with new and existing government clients, advising on our digital services, DevOps, and agile delivery offerings.
- Partner closely with internal delivery teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Support our Bid Factory team by helping shape high-quality bid and tender responses.
- Contribute to business innovation by participating in internal improvement initiatives.
- Execute and align marketing strategies with business development goals to drive pipeline growth.
- Identify and convert B2B leads through a variety of channels—from initial enquiry to full acquisition.
- Represent the company at industry events, roundtables, and networking opportunities both nationally and internationally.
- Provide strategic market insights to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) using data-driven analysis.
- Act as a trusted advisor, resolving client issues and ensuring long-term partnerships.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales, business development, or account management.
- Strong background in securing and managing government contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of digital transformation, DevOps, and agile delivery.
- Demonstrated success in B2B lead generation and tender submissions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to deliver and execute effective marketing strategies.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and events.
