Salary: £37,756 – £40,920 per annum (with progression potential to £51,878 for exceptional performance)

The Role

As Senior Systems Specialist (CRM), you will lead the management and continuous development of Microsoft Dynamics 365. Your role will be crucial in maintaining a secure, high-performing, and business-aligned CRM platform. You will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to enhance system functionality, automate processes, and drive adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain the Dynamics 365 CRM system, including user access, security roles, and customisations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and deliver tailored CRM solutions.
  • Oversee system updates, patches, and upgrades while ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Develop process documentation, user guides, and deliver training sessions.
  • Integrate Dynamics 365 with other enterprise platforms using tools like Power Automate and Power BI.
  • Lead initiatives to scale and enhance the system as the University grows.

Key Objectives

Short-Term:

  • Familiarise with the current Dynamics 365 setup.
  • Implement system improvements and configure user access controls.

Medium-Term:

  • Introduce automation workflows using Power Platform.
  • Support legacy data migration and enhance reporting tools.

Long-Term:

  • Lead CRM system upgrades and adoption strategies.
  • Establish best practices to maximise platform performance and business impact.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in full lifecycle CRM implementations (cloud and on-premise).
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform tools.
  • Strong understanding of CRM functionality, security, and integration methods.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

Desirable:

  • PRINCE2, ITIL, or relevant professional certifications.
  • Understanding of the Higher Education sector.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related subject.

Working Environment & Development

You’ll be part of a close-knit team of specialists, contributing to strategic IT initiatives. Occasional out-of-hours support may be required during upgrades or critical periods.
