The Business Relationship Officer role is based within the Knowledge Exchange & External Partnerships (KEEP) team, which leads the University’s collaborations with non-academic organisations under the umbrella of Knowledge Exchange (KE).

In this role, you will work alongside KEEP and other University teams to contribute to several key areas:

  • Identifying, developing, and managing new business contacts and business intelligence.
  • Creating and delivering internal training programmes to help academics and external business partners collaborate effectively.
  • Ensuring the successful operation of Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) projects.
  • Promoting collaboration with the wider Research Engagement & Innovation Office (REIO), priority academic departments, and other key professional services.

Team Structure:
The role is part of the Knowledge Exchange & External Partnerships (KEEP) team within the Research Engagement & Innovation Office (REIO). KEEP consists of four key teams: Business Relationship Management, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, Commercialisation, and Consultancy, with a broader scope across Knowledge Exchange activities. This role will primarily focus on collaborating with the Business Relationship Management and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships teams.
