We are searching for a test engineer to assist with general departmental testing tasks in the Hygiene, Pedestrian, and Structures Lab.
This will comprise test scheduling, planning and execution, customer liaison, contractor liaison, data delivery, proposals, and reporting, as well as supporting the management team with the planning and control of test team activities.
Do you have a working grasp of relevant standards and regulations, transforming them into test methodology?
Understanding and documenting pre- and post-test needs (measurements, observations, etc.).
Can you check and verify the test and analysed data?
Use scheduling tools to plan, keep track of projects, schedule tests, and so on.
Assist in putting together proposals with BDM support.
Compile test reports where required.
Assist with departmental processes, health and safety, competency records, and continuous improvement, including knowledge of UKAS 17025.
Customer liaison, including planning, test day supervision, and data provision; and liaise with certification agencies.
