About the Role
The School of Social Sciences at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol is seeking to appoint two full-time Lecturers in Psychology. We’re looking for individuals passionate about delivering high-quality, innovative teaching and who will complement our existing team’s expertise.
While we welcome applicants from all areas of psychology, successful candidates must be able to teach at least one core area of our British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited undergraduate/conversion programmes (e.g. biological, cognitive, developmental, social psychology, or individual differences). Candidates with expertise in forensic psychology are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching primarily at the undergraduate/conversion level, with some opportunities for postgraduate teaching depending on experience.
- Supervise undergraduate dissertation projects (Level 6).
- Act as Academic Personal Tutor.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student learning experiences.
- Contribute to curriculum development and research-led teaching.

You’ll be joining a supportive, interdisciplinary academic community within the School of Social Sciences, part of UWE’s College of Health, Science and Society. Psychology staff are actively involved in the Psychological Sciences Research Group (PSRG) and/or the Social Science Research Group (SSRG).
