We have successfully taught over 12 million students with our remote learning tools. Our next major objective is to establish a network of schools, backed by outstanding instructors and powered by technology and innovation, to positively influence even more lives.

We are all proud of the following Noon values: Student First, Never Deprive a Learner, Be Better Every Day, Be Original, Own It, and Be Bold. These values have gotten us to where we are now, and they are an important element of what we are looking for in you.

Why work at noon?

About the role

At Noon, we are creating a product that is used by thousands of students every day. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be at the core of the student experience, producing innovative solutions on a regular basis. Join our distributed, high-performing team at our central London office (hybrid, two days per week), where the majority of our IT staff is based.

Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for code, from design to delivery and observability.
  • Promote excellent practices while constantly aiming for incremental improvements.
  • Join the team’s on-call rotation.
  • Reduce complexity and toil by identifying bottlenecks and increasing system efficiency.
  • Be a team player.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience in infrastructure and distributed systems.
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes).

The Interview Process

  • Performance-based bonuses
  • 25 days of yearly leave, including Christmas workplace closures.
  • 5% contribution to your pension scheme.
  • Private medical scheme, including family coverage.
  • Income Protection and Life Assurance can help you protect your future.

About Diversity and Inclusion

We recognise that everyone possesses a unique set of talents and experiences. If you are passionate about making a real good difference via education, even if you do not match all of the standards listed above, we invite you to apply.

At Noon, we respect and value diversity. We understand that when people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives collaborate, we produce the best value for our clients, employees, and society. We are fortunate to live in a society that values diversity, and we would expect nothing less from our teams. That is, regardless of your ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or gender, here is a place where you may feel comfortable, express yourself freely, and leave your mark. Noon is happy to be an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to providing equitable job opportunities regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, colour, ethnicity, religion, sex, national origin, or sexual orientation. We strive to be really representative of the globe, and we want every employee to feel respected.
