Job Description

Role: Academic Guidance Tutor – Harper Adams University, Telford

The role is based at Harper Adams University Telford (HA@T), within a collaborative team of professional services and academic staff. It sits under the Academic Guidance section of the broader Learner Support Team at the Edgmond campus. The postholder will report to the Academic Guidance Manager and work closely with the Executive Academic Director of HA@T.

This position will involve providing expert academic guidance and pastoral support to students, monitoring and reviewing their academic progress to ensure success in a higher education setting. The role also includes acting as a course tutor for degree courses offered at HA@T. The successful candidate will work alongside other professionals to design and deliver teaching sessions, workshops, and other educational interventions.

Experience/Qualifications Required:

  • Honours degree in a STEM-related subject.
  • Teaching qualification.

Extensive experience in teaching and providing academic support within a Higher Education (HE), Further Education (FE), or Post-16 environment.
