Are you a skilled mechanical technician seeking for an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your skills?

We’re looking for a dependable and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our exciting team. If you’re interested in mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and maintaining smooth operations, we want to hear from you!

In this post, you will perform normal, planned, and reactive mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on a variety of mechanical systems to guarantee our clients receive a high-quality, efficient response and service. You will also perform minor installs for all Mechanical services at the University.

In addition to a lucrative base income of up to £32,982 per year, you will get a market premium of £2,000 annually.

As a member of the Late/Weekend Shift, you will get a hefty shift allowance (17% of your base hourly rate) to compensate for working late shifts and on weekends. Typically, the working pattern would be 8 days of up to 10 hours each in any 14-day period, with a 36.5-hour week spanning the hours 13:00 to 23:00 Monday through Friday and 07:30 to 18:00 Saturday and Sunday.

We will examine applications for part-time or other flexible working arrangements, even if a post is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why this cannot be done.

About You

You will have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Installations or Maintenance, the capacity to do installations, and a thorough awareness of Health & Safety and related processes.
