About the Role
Join the Estates Maintenance team at the University of Warwick and play a key role in maintaining the electrical infrastructure across our world-class campus. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your skills to a wide range of settings—from academic buildings and student accommodation to state-of-the-art research centres, sports venues, and retail facilities.
As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Performing routine, planned, and reactive electrical maintenance
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs across a variety of systems
- Supporting minor electrical installations across the university estate
- Ensuring a high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused service
This role is full-time, working Monday to Friday during business hours, with occasional weekend shifts (approximately 5 weekends per year, with a 5-day working week maintained). Participation in the on-call rota will also be required.

About You
We’re looking for an experienced and qualified electrical professional with:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installations or Maintenance
- A solid understanding of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and the Electricity at Work Act
- Demonstrable experience in electrical testing, fault-finding, and installations
- A strong grasp of Health & Safety procedures relevant to the role
