What will be your role in the company?
If you have a strong technical background and an analytical mindset, we want you on our team. You will play a key role in diagnosing faults and performing root cause analysis on an advanced fleet, covering various systems such as electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic. Using electrical schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic software, you’ll ensure our trains are operating at their best.
If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and has a results-driven approach, this role is for you. As a valued member of our team, you will perform repairs and corrective actions on new trains in a depot environment, ensuring service availability and reliability for passengers.
What salary will you be paid for this role?
As a Real Living Wage Employer, we offer competitive salaries at CAF. For this position, the salary is around £47,000 per annum.
What will make you successful in this position?
To excel in this role, you should have an NVQ Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience. You’ll need experience in fault detection and root cause analysis across multiple systems, along with the ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics. Proficiency in diagnostic software, as well as test and measuring equipment, is essential. A valid driver’s license and the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and both day and night shifts, will also be required.
