Stratford Lodge, part of The Cambian Group—the UK’s leading provider of specialist education, care and mental health services—is looking for a passionate and reliable Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Salisbury.
 About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a central role in a compassionate and skilled team comprising Support Workers, Senior Support Workers, Deputy Managers, and the Registered Care Manager. You’ll be part of the allocated support team for each young adult, helping them gain life skills and reach their full potential.
Your work will involve offering physical and emotional support, promoting independence, and contributing to a nurturing environment that prioritises wellbeing, safety, and dignity. You’ll also act as a mentor to junior Support Workers and lead by example as a role model in all professional settings.

 Qualifications and Requirements
- Essential: Level 3 QCF Certificate in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- A passion for working with young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and associated needs
- Strong communication skills and a team-first approach
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends
 Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships with young people, colleagues, and external stakeholders
- Support and promote each resident’s individual care plan and encourage progress through tailored development goals
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by taking part in domestic tasks when needed
- Assist with personal hygiene and healthcare needs—including intimate care, if trained
- Monitor physical health (e.g., temperature, respiration, weight) and maintain accurate records in the Master Care Plan
- Administer medications and participate in medical audits as required
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, reviews, and planning sessions
- Promote and safeguard the rights, welfare, and dignity of all young people
- Uphold and champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of care and teamwork
 About Stratford Lodge
Stratford Lodge is a specialist residential care home supporting young adults aged 19 to 25 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), severe learning difficulties, and complex needs. All residents have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and many may display behaviours that challenge.
We provide person-centred care tailored to each individual’s strengths and goals. Our focus is on helping residents build key life skills, increase independence, and—where suitable—progress along vocational or educational pathways.
