An opportunity has opened within the Easington Community Mental Health Team for a motivated and organised Administrator. This role is central to keeping services running smoothly and ensuring patients feel welcomed and supported from the first point of contact.
As part of the front-of-house administrative team, you will interact daily with service users, carers, clinicians, and members of the public. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and calm approach will directly contribute to the quality of care delivered.

Your Role in the Team
This is more than a traditional clerical post. You will:
- Act as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to clinical staff.
- Record and document information from daily team huddles accurately and promptly.
- Manage diaries, coordinate meetings, and produce minutes where required.
- Maintain and improve administrative systems and filing processes.
- Respond flexibly to urgent service demands from senior staff.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities will be key to your success.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications
Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (or willingness to work towards Level 3 Business Administration).
Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grade 4–9 / Grade C and above in Maths and English).
Applicants without certification must achieve the required standard during probation.
Essential Experience
- Administrative experience (diary management, filing, minute taking, data input).
- Customer service experience (face-to-face, telephone, written communication).
- Managing workloads and meeting deadlines.
- Setting up and maintaining office systems.
- Working independently and proactively.
Essential Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
- Familiarity with standard office systems and procedures.
Desirable
- Business Administration Level 3.
- RSA Level 2 or equivalent.
- Experience within a clinical or NHS environment.
- Supervisory or financial handling experience.
