Exciting Opportunity: System Safety Engineer – UK Safety Team
An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced System Safety Engineer to join our dynamic UK Safety Team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in bringing our industry-leading Avionics and Power products to market by leading and conducting system safety assessments across multiple projects. As a key member of the team, you’ll help drive innovative development strategies and establish yourself as a recognized expert in system safety, all while mentoring others and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience: A proven safety engineering background in aviation safety, with a solid understanding of civil certification requirements such as 14CFR-25, CS-25, 14CFR-35, and CS-P.
Education: A degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) and expertise in performing System Safety engineering tasks using international standards like SAE ARP4761, MIL-STD-882, and DEF STAN 00-56.
Safety Analyses: Extensive experience in conducting detailed safety analyses of complex systems, including Fault Tree Analysis, Common Mode Analysis, and developing Safety Requirements to drive design changes.
Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and present confidently to senior business leaders. A passion for guiding and developing future talent is key.

Desired Characteristics:
While not essential, the following would be beneficial for the role:
Knowledge of ARP 4754, RTCA DO-178B/C, and DO-254.
Familiarity with compliance processes to meet industry regulatory standards.
Experience performing reliability analyses, Prediction, and FMEA on electronic/electrical systems.
Ability to apply System Safety engineering principles across various product areas.
