PCPH is part of the UCL Institute of Epidemiology & Healthcare (IEHC) and the NIHR School for Primary Care Research, with strong collaborative links to the NIHR Schools of Public Health and Social Care, local and national primary care networks, and comprehensive datasets. The Primary Care Education Group within PCPH is internationally recognised for excellence in teaching and clinical education research.

The Role

This NIHR-funded lectureship offers up to four years of post-doctoral training for a GP with exceptional potential to develop as an independent researcher, educator, and leader in clinical education research. The postholder will design and deliver a coherent programme of research in an area related to primary healthcare education.

Essential Requirements:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Inclusion on the NHS GP Performers List
  • Completed GP vocational training with MRCGP or equivalent
  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • This position is eligible for a Skilled Worker Visa or Global Talent Visa, so international applicants are encouraged to apply.
