About the Opportunity
Henley Business School is inviting applications for a highly motivated Associate Professor in Accounting to join our Finance & Accounting Division. We are seeking a scholar with an outstanding research trajectory, a strong portfolio of publications in leading accounting journals, and a commitment to delivering world-class education.
This is a full-time, permanent academic position offering the chance to play a significant role in research development, programme delivery, and academic leadership within one of the UK’s most respected business schools.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Scholarly Activity
- Lead and conduct independent, high-quality research within the field of Accounting.
- Produce internationally recognised outputs in top-tier journals.
- Pursue external research funding and engage in collaborative academic projects.
Teaching & Education
Deliver modules across undergraduate and pre-experience master’s programmes in Accounting.
Contribute to subjects such as:
- Management Accounting
- Financial Accounting
- Accounting Data Analytics
- Support curriculum innovation and enhancement in line with departmental goals.
Academic Leadership & Service
- Undertake administrative duties, module leadership, and academic citizenship activities.
- Contribute to broader departmental and school initiatives, including student support and programme governance.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
You must demonstrate:
- A PhD in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field
- Proven teaching experience in a university environment
- Strong proficiency in data analytics applied to Accounting
- A portfolio of publications in top academic journals within Accounting
