Role Overview
We are seeking an A-Level Physics Teacher to inspire and guide students in the study of physics at post-16 level. This role involves:
- Delivering engaging A-Level Physics lessons to motivated students
- Designing and implementing lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum
- Supporting student progress and academic development through assessment and feedback
- Participating in the development of extra-curricular STEM programs, clubs, and initiatives
- Collaborating with colleagues in a dynamic, supportive Science department to enhance teaching and learning
- The position is suitable for experienced teachers or those early in their careers with strong subject expertise.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Physics; experience teaching A-Level preferred
- Excellent classroom management skills and clear communication
- Commitment to promoting high standards and continuous improvement
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve academic excellence
Desirable:
- Experience leading STEM extra-curricular activities
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and digital tools
- Knowledge of assessment and progression frameworks for A-Level students
