About the Role

The UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources (ISR) is seeking a Lecturer in Business, Sustainability and Society to enhance its research and teaching portfolio in sustainability, business, and consumer engagement.

In this role, you will:

Strengthen ISR’s research capacity in business sustainability, citizen behaviour, and consumer responsibility.

Contribute to and help lead the MSc Business and Sustainability (BaS) programme, which equips students to drive transformation across business, environment, and society.

Lead at least one taught module and contribute to others, ensuring strong academic and practical insights into sustainable business and social transitions.

Collaborate across disciplines, working with colleagues, students, policymakers, businesses, and civil society partners.

This position is ideal for an academic committed to bridging theory and practice in sustainability and contributing to UCL’s world-leading sustainability education.

About You

You will have:

  • A PhD or equivalent experience in business sustainability, environmental management, sustainable consumption, or a closely related field.
  • A strong record of high-quality research and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering postgraduate teaching related to business sustainability or sustainable behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across disciplines, cultures, and sectors.
  • The ability to engage effectively with industry, policymakers, and NGOs to promote sustainability solutions.
