About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Business, Sustainability and Society to join the UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources.
This post offers an exciting opportunity to strengthen ISR’s capacity in business sustainability, particularly in relation to the roles of consumers and citizens in driving sustainable transitions.
The successful candidate will contribute to both research and teaching, including leadership within the MSc Business and Sustainability (BaS)
programme. You will lead at least one taught module and contribute to others, integrating practical insights into sustainable business practices, citizen behaviour, and societal change.
Your work will align with the Institute’s commitment to interdisciplinary, employment-focused education and impact-driven research that bridges business, policy, and the environment.
About You
You will bring:
- Extensive knowledge of business sustainability and the role of consumers and/or citizens in sustainable transitions.
- A PhD (or equivalent professional experience) in a relevant discipline such as sustainability, business, environmental policy, or social science.
- A strong research track record, evidenced by publications in high-quality academic journals and/or impactful applied research.
- Experience in designing and delivering postgraduate teaching on topics such as business sustainability, circular economy, or sustainable consumption.
- The ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, sectors, and cultures, engaging with businesses, policymakers, and civil society organisations.
